Developer Resources

Skinux is pleased to provide all of its developers with a wide range of resources to ease the process of learning to develop rich, skinnable interfaces using our patent pending skinning engine. In most cases, the answer to any Skinux related question can be found within our extensive documentation. Documents covering our technology, the Skinux C++ SDK and the Skinux XML skin descriptor language can be found here. In addition to our documentation, Skinux offers a myriad of examples illustrating the use of several exciting features our SDK has to offer.

The Skinux documentation covers nearly every aspect of the Skinux SDK in depth. The information is organized into various documents for different levels of familiarity with the Skinux SDK. Developers who are researching potential solutions or looking at the SDK for the first time will find the Technical Overview and the Skinux Users Manual to be helpful in getting started. More experienced users will find the C++ and XML reference material to be an invaluable resource when designing complicated custom controls or extending the feature set of the SDK itself.

The example repository is a valuable resource for developers of all experience levels. Examples are presented in a convenient tree structure that closely resembles the library structure of the Skinux SDK. Users may burrow right into the tree or perform keyword searches to locate examples that are relevant to the task at hand. To download an archive containing the source code for any example, simply follow the link provided at the bottom of every example description. Should you find that a particular feature of the SDK is not covered by our example repository, please feel free to contact Skinux regarding a custom example to suit your needs.
